WHAT

This is a project that integrates existing technology with fashionable design to optimize smart glasses. The goal is to enhance the potential for smart glasses to integrate into daily life, providing a better sensory experience for humans. Not only to improving the quality of life for the general public, the purpose is also to destigmatize the discrimination faced by visually impaired individuals in society through innovative features and everyday usability of the product, allowing them to more comfortably engage into society.

2

WHY

I focused my research on smart glasses for several reasons. Firstly, it is the latest trend globally, with nearly all big tech companies, including Apple Inc., Google, Meta, Huawei, all investing resources in the development of related products. Additionally, smart glasses are closely related to human sensory organs, offering significant potential for expansion. However, previous products like Google Glasses not only face aesthetic challenges but even Apple's latest release, Vision Pro, struggles to achieve a design suitable for everyday wear. As a multidisciplinary artist, my aim is to shape my vision through research and collaboration with various professionals, meeting the needs of the public while also contributing to the well-being of marginalized communities in society.

How

To achieve this vision, the implementation is primarily divided into two main aspects. On one hand, through researches, the focus is on understanding existing technologies, studying them, and speculating on the possibilities of integrating them into the product. This involves injecting new functionalities and aspirations for the future. On the other hand, through intervention, interaction with public and collaboration with talents from different fields is sought to explore breakthroughs in the aesthetic design of smart glasses. Expert opinions and feedback from stakeholders are actively sought, aiming to effectively apply imaginative solutions.
